Caley Carter-Knudsen
Head coach at Centenary for 4 seasons.
Assistant coach at Manchester University in Indiana in 2011 and 2012. While at MU, she tutored all-conference first team and Manchester’s Female Athlete of the Year Amanda Dickman, who led the conference in blocks and ranked nationally in Division III throughout the 2011 campaign. Recruited and coached 2012 all-conference first team and Freshman of the Year Sarah Pruden, who led the conference in kills and points per set.
Assistant at the University of Albany from 2010-11, where she coached Player of the Year Teresa Coppielle and Defensive Player of the Year Laurie Gonzalez and got an American East Conference Championship under her belt.
Played collegiately at Barton Community College where she was an all-region selection in both volleyball and track, an All-American, and as of 2016 she is a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame. Played one season for The University of Tennessee, and her final season at Nicholls State University. There she was named the state of Louisiana and Southland Conference Player of the Year, and was named to the Southland All-Conference First Team and Newcomer of the Year in 2003.
Played professionally overseas in Denmark for five years (2004-2009) and in Finland for one season in 2010. During her stop in Denmark, she played for Fortuna Odense Volley and was part of four Danish National Championships, and four Danish Cup Championships. She was named to the Danish League’s Volleyligaen Team of the Year on three occasions as an outside hitter and during her time in Finland was the second highest point scorer of the Finnish League Mestaruusliiga.
Coach Caley lead our first ever 14’s National Team to winning the Crystal Division at AAU Nationals in Orlando in June of 2022.
