ACADEMY Sign Up
The Academy is a program designed for all levels and ages. The purpose of the Academy is to prepare players for their school teams, to introduce the game of volleyball to beginners who are hoping to play on their middle school and high school teams, to stay in ‘volleyball shape’ during a break from club and school ball, and to learn to work as a group. Therefore, the focus during the training sessions will be on the basics of volleyball: fundamental techniques of passing, serving, setting, hitting and blocking, and the six rotations focusing on serve receive and defensive positioning. Players will play all positions, and team placement is mixed, changing teams each tournament in order to practice teamwork!
The Academy has different sessions for all skill levels. Players should choose which level they believe suits them best. HIGH SCHOOL AGED PLAYERS SHOULD ONLY PLAY IN THE ADVANCED SESSION, unless they are brand new (have never played before). MIDDLE SCHOOL AGED PLAYERS SHOULD PLAY IN THE MODERATE SESSION. If you are in middle school and feel you should play in the advanced session, email us before you sign up tcelitevolleyball@gmail.com to confirm.
Practice 2x per week starting April 7th.
3 tournaments: April 19, May 3 & 17

All practices are Mondays and Wednesdays 5:30-7:00pm
*PLEASE NOTE: It is possible that we add a second session due to overwhelming numbers, as we will NOT be cutting off the signup this year as we have done in the past. If so, the Advanced group will be moved to M/W 7:30-9PM
